Hassara Monestary

The Hassara Monastery is built on the ruins of an old monastery built by the original inhabitants of Hassara. It was a place visited by Salah Mananujar, both before and after the Great Event. The last 10 years before his death, Salah began spending more and more time at the monastery and outside of Qu'sra. It was in this time that the buildings that currently stand were created and the tradition of the top monks at Wa-Tika being brought to the secluded hermitage.

History

Hassara was a traditional monk training settlement that was built in the shadows of Mount Tisini. Up on the mountain, students would train and meditate as a way of trying to sit between the heavens and the earth in an attempt to connect the two planes. Being trained as a monk, Salah Mananujar came to Hassara about 7 years prior to the Great Event.   After the event, Salah returned to the spot in his survey of the area around old Qu'sra (01 AoD). There, he found the city in ruins and the monastery scraped off the mountain. Starting at about 55 AoD, Salah would leave Qu'sra for long strings of time, a portion of which were spent re-building the monastery on Mount Tisini.

Architecture

Two main buildings and three tents exist on the side of Mount Tisini.   The smaller of the two buildings house a large boulder with a message carved into it from Bright Salah: "Fear not, for the the bright torches will always be a light in the dark."   The larger building has a meditation room, a dining room, storage room, and artifact room.   The three permanent residents live in the three individual tent when pilgrims aren't present.
