Wealth and power become much more easy to pass down, leading to the founding of many great houses and dynasties. Class distinctions become much more obvious as the ruling class are able to spend their wealth on great structures and fine clothing. Children grow up being groomed for power, some to have it snatched away from them by their rivals.   The powerful create sigils for themselves and house colours, making them instantly recognizable to their friends and foes.
