The realm underwent a boom in demand well-defended stone defenses.

The Half-Men invasion shocked the continent into a rapidly developing their defenses. Hundreds of castles, keeps, towers and walls were built over the next hundred years which also lead to advancement in siege warfare and tactics. The masonry industry boomed as ever lord worth his salt wanted at least a stone keep to protect his family and riches.   Thick walls became the only thing that made most people feel safe. As a result, well-defended cities grew quickly with many people moving to take advantage of their fortifications.
