Lyren

The worker caste found only in Maringrad. When the Maren invaded and subjugated the natives, the began to selectively breed them to be more capable but subservient. The lyren soon genetically diverged from the tribes of the neighbouring territories. Their purpose is bred into them, making them the perfect tool of the ruling Maren caste.
They are industrious workers, disciplined soldiers and loyal to a fault. All they know is serving the Maren. As civilization moved forward, selective breeding by force became less tasteful so the Maren turned to simply gelding men they think are to rebellious or charismatic for their liking.
Most of their life is spent toiling for their masters, trying to gain their favour.
They are known for their pale brown skin, black hair and solemn demeanor.

Pale skin, tall, muscular, clear complexion.

Gender Ideals

Men do most of the hunting, hard labour and soldiering. Women hold down the household and also have domestic jobs for their Maren masters.

Courtship Ideals

Most couples come together naturally, some are arranged by their overlords.

Relationship Ideals

Men hold down the tougher jobs while the women quietly handle things at home.
