Raven Queen
It was the Raven Queen's curiosity for the memories of an Old God that cursed Barovia to play host to the Dark Powers. The Raven Queen sacrificed her people in a desperate attempt to keep her mistake from wreaking havoc on the material plane, but her caution was no match for the desperate hubris of the Dead Three. In an effort to cover her tracks, she is currently commanding a great deal of resources to collect Ocarin Stonehollow's memories from the River Styx as, should the Guardians suceed in their endeavor to defeat Strahd, those memories will be the only proof tying her to the Domain of Dread.
