The Dread Biter

"The Dread Biter" This supreme alien intelligence from another realm has been making pacts with humans since before written history.
Worms brought to Earth through pacts with witches have been the source of many myths and historical appearances.
The Lambton Worm is one example and, of course, the Norse myth of Nidhogg itself.  Could the serpent in the Garden of Eden be an account?  If so, who was the witch?  Or was that Nidhogg itself, attempting ever since to return to Earth after having been banished...?
