And this might be all you need to read. Different people have different approaches to finding their character. Immersing yourself in the world's lore is one way to do this - but it is neither the only way nor the right way. None of this here is required to know before we start playing. Suppose you have a question or an idea; you can very well find the nearest GM of your convenience and talk it through. So if reading through pages of poorly written fiction and looking at collections of incoherent stylistic art ain't your thing, you can stop reading, right... about... here.
