UNIT
The United Nations Investigative Taskforce was formed in response to the UNs inability to extract necessary information from the rising multinational megacorporations that were beginning to dominate the nations that had spawned them. In its heyday it did what was necessary to support the mandates of other divisions within the UN under the aegis of the international community. Its success proved its own undoing, bringing about the corporate infiltration and corruption of the UN which has persisted to this day.
Most recently UNIT was tasked with an actual mission, the Corporate Council backed intervention in the Aztlan-Amazonia war. It met with completely unexpected success, uncovering the horrors of the Aztechnology war machine and exposing the world to it in an undeniable fashion. With a bit of restored luster UNIT reactivated a third team, and looked forward to another meaningful success.
