"Bim" is a Blork, or Black Orc, which is not a real thing at all - but he did spend several years in the Angola Special Forces before it was absorbed by hungry neighbors - fleeing the chaos in Africa he joined the UN hoping to make a different and emerged from the peacekeepers as a valued member of UNIT .
He now heads up UNIT Task Force Epsilon
