Xekan

"Welcome to Xekan Village, traveler! Another scaleless, then! What, are you an infant?"
Little is known about the Dragontooth Isles, though what is known is that there are two distinct groups that call the Isles their home. One of these groups—considered the friendlier of the two by those that have adventured to the Isles—are the Xekan, a society of lizardfolk that thrive off of competition and showings of strength.   The Xekan are best known and respected for their adaptability, a trait that has helped them flourish in a harsh environment. Because they are naturally hardy, the beasts that roam the Dragontooth Isles are commonly hunted by them for sport. Their boldness and brutishness has conquered creatures that typical adventuring groups would sweat at the sight of.   The Xekan are also typically the first group that stranded shipmates meet on the Dragontooth Isles. Xekan are generally friendly to outsiders if a bit overbearing, and they are eager to introduce foreigners to their way of life. They regard anyone without scales like them as different, but this is once again another part of their competitive nature. To live with the Xekan, you must earn the right to be called one, and that means living as outgoing as possible.
"Fighting's in our blood! If you're too weak, you can go talk to the snake-tails."
Xekan expect arguments, conflict, and excitement above all else. Without these three things driving their culture, it would collapse in only a short amount of time. But this volatile way of living has protected them from the yuan-ti, the Xekan’s rival clan and sworn enemies. The two groups can often be seen fighting each other across the Dragontooth Isles in what could only be called a giant turf war.
