Arcane Life
Adzir is a general term for constructs given life via the magic in a special
Velkan known as a Velkazar. Dwarven creations, they were originally constructed for war, but it became apparent that they are quite inefficient for this purpose, and require a lot more consumption of Velkazar than was worth doing. As such, they were quickly made into low-intensity household automata that can complete basic tasks for what tend to be rather wealthy households.
Adzir are not creations of permanent animation, and have a lifespan in accordance to their quality of creation, intensity of use, and power of Velkazar that powers them. Newer developments in Adzir allow for use of a new Velkazar to recharge them, allowing for use of many smaller Velkazar rather than one, large and expensive Velkazar. This development has lead to many believe in a resurgence in Adzir as instruments of war, and that the time to invest is now!
