Frog Valley

Geography

Frog Valley, as the name suggests, is a valley surrounded on all sides by a mountain range. The only way to get in and out of the valley, when flying is not an option, is via a mountain path, which however is completely impassable every year for a certain time due to ice.

Ecosystem

The valley itself is a single swamp. High temperatures and high humidity makes it an ideal environment for frogs and toads.

Ecosystem Cycles

Most of the year the temperatures are warm and humid. However, during the winter time, on the one hand, it is impossible to leave the valley, and on the other hand, all amphibians living there will freeze when the temperature reaches a certain threshold.

The majority of the valley consists of lakes, ponds, and farmland. Everything south of Wartwood, and in the east of Frog Valley, is dangerous woodland. The Dark Forest is home to several wild creatures that can be a danger to the intelligent creatures in the valley.

History

Until recent events, Frog Valley has always been under the rule of the Toads, who provide administration and jurisdiction on behalf of King Andrias. Every few generations, the Frogs revolt and rebel against the Toads, and with the exception of the last rebellion, none has ever been successful.
