Toads are one of the 3 sapient, sentient, antropomorphic main-species in Amphibia
Basic Information
Anatomy
Toads belong to the physically second largest species in Amphibia, just above frogs but below newts.
Their muscle mass outweighs that of the other two main species many times over, but at the expense of their mobility.
Ecology and Habitats
Like frogs, toads prefer humid and warm climate. Unlike frogs, toads are somewhat tougher when it comes to their local habitat.
Behaviour
Toads are generally very militantly positioned. Most Toads grow up close to the Toad army, and aspire to a career there in their later adult lives.
Most Toads are self-centered, which makes them amenable to corruption and abuse of power, mostly against the Frogs.
Most Toads find themselves as members of the military, or in political positions.

Social Structure
Within the Toads there is a strict military hierarchy. Each tower is led by a captain or commander, and supported by a lieutenant.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
The population of Toads is largely divided among the four towers distributed in Amphibia, and under the command of the Toad Council:
- The North Tower
- The East Tower
- The South Tower
- The West Tower
Average Intelligence
Toads are generally said to have below-average intelligence. Since their lives are mostly dedicated to military service, they receive only basic education, such as basic arithmetic, reading, and writing.
More intelligent toads move up the military ranks faster.

Major Organizations
Toad Army
An army consisting exclusively of Toad soldiers under the command of the Newtopian military. They are divided among the four garrisons, the four towers, in Amphibia.
Toad High Council
This council consists of Toad Lords from destinct parts of Amphibia. They control the army, as well as the land given to them by King Andrias.
History
Only 1000 years ago toads were used only to protect frogs. After Prince Andrias was crowned king following the death of his father, King Aldrich, he made the Toads the law enforcers for the entire continent.
Frog Valley is one of the most rebellious areas and several times already, there were sometimes very deadly encounters between the Toads and the Frogs.
