The mastery of Death and Decay

Necromancy is the darkest and most hated of the magical schools. It is seen as a evil art that spits in the faces of the gods and the natural world. Even so, most members of the most powerful of magic organisations of the world at least dabble in the dark arts.
The art of death and decay. The last and most feared magical arts is concerning the energy of life. For even in death the seed of life lingers. Even in dead meat there is power. And this is the study of those powers.
This magic schools greatest power is the raising of the dead. But it also study the power of the spirit. Not the power of our physical forms, but the spirit that lives whit in them. There for a true master of this dark art are perhaps the most dangerous thing you could ever meet.
For a true master of necromancy could tear your wherry soul from your body and eat it.

Necromancy traditions

Few cultures allow the dark art of necromancy and there for most necromancers are outcasts. Because of this there are few traditions that has anything to do whit necromancy. But there are some hidden customs that are in use among the magic orders of the world.
The Order - The wizard order of the Nadrac Imperium use the necromancy art of Drain Spirit to execute traitors to the Order. This and their Black Guard that is said to be warriors sworn to the wizards order. This warriors are in fact undead slaves dressed in heavy black knights armor.
The Red Mystics - The Lionatrian wizards are known to use curses. There for they often afflict their sworn enemy's whit the horror that is Blackrot. They are also known for keeping undead slaves as servants.
The Shadow Court - The Han'yi wizards in their holy emperors employ also use one necromancy art. As they use djins or maras to creat and maintain the nine undead bodyguards of his divine imperial highness. Whit the use of undead liches the most holy man whit in han'yi's universe is being kept safe, by the Eternal Watchers.
The Priests of Heark-Sith - This priests of the elven god of death are sworn to hunt down the enemy's of their people. And they do so using all of the necromancy arts. As they see it they are simply using the powers of their god to protect their own.

The paths to Necromancy

There are three ways to gain the arts of necromancy. This are:
Ghoul Blood Elixir - The path most think of when you speak of the ways to gain the power of death. But it is in fact the youngest and lest used way of becoming a necromancer.
Naga Blood Elixir - The old blood path to power over death. It is a often used way of gaining the power of necromancy.
Making a pact whit a Djin or Mara - This path only grants you a undead servant and not the full extent of necromancy. But it is as always the oldest path and some would also call it the easiest.
