The Ritual of Undeath

The great art of the necromancers.
This is their greatest weapon and achievement. To animate the dead and those create a undead slave to preform there will. It requires a great deal of preparation and magical power to work. Not only while preforming the ritual that creates there undead slave, but afterwards as well.

During the Ritual

The first effects are seen in a form of unnatural unlife taking hold of the corpse. The dead body is animated by the will and magic of the necromancer. Forcing the dead to start to move and act according whit its new masters will.

During the time the Undead walks

Keeping a undead slave from falling back to its natural stat, which is to say death, is a eternal struggle for the necromancer. A single undead slave will drain some of its masters magic for as long as its master uses it.
Said master can see out of his slaves eyes and speak whit its mouth, if the corps is fresh enough. The undead is its master puppet, capable of doing anything a living person can do. (Except reproduce)

Side/Secondary Effects

Preforming this ritual weakens the necromancers bodies. And opens him up to all matter of illnesses.

Manifestation

A black oily smoke flow out of the necromancer into the dead corps, as the dead is being animated. After it has been given its undeath, said smoke flows around its eyes.

Like all magic. This arts power comes from the magical power whit in the body of the practitioner. The stronger the magic whit in the stronger the effects of the magic.

Material Components

This ritual needs three things to work.
1) The corps of a relatively recently deceased being.
2) A circle of rune stones.
3) The light of a moon, ideally a full moon.
