At age fourteen, Kitt completed her initiation into the Twilight Keepers beneath the boughs of the Hollow, emerging marked by the trial with a single silver strand of hair—a quiet sign of the Queen’s regard. She spoke the oath with clear voice and steady breath, and from that day forward, wore the Keeper’s robe and took up her duties in Guthram. What she witnessed in the Hollow remains hers alone.
