Destruction of Niflheim

A great cataclysm destroys Niflheim and the Midnight Lands, taking with it many of the Faeries of the Midnight Court and Ashrakal's army. Catastrophically altering the landscape the Midnight Lands have ever since been a place no person in their right mind would dare enter. The inhabitants of the Old Dark woods become twisted and nightmarish, consumed by hatred for humankind.
