Lytton Arms Headquarters Building / Landmark in World Behind the Veil | World Anvil

Lytton Arms Headquarters

An unremarkeable building in Manhattan. It is around 20 stories tall and does not have any markings on it. Within it are the many offices of the administrative and executive staff of Lytton Arms. It is also home to a small branch of the research team. They work on top secret projects that Delma Lytton wants to supervise herself.     On floor 20 are the executive offices.   On the floors 17 - 19 are the offices of HR and related divisions.       A weapons range can be found in the basement where employees can use various Lytton Arms small caliber guns for fun. It has a second gun range to demonstrate small and mid sized caliber weapons to prospective customers.   The ground floor is the lobby with a reception and various meeting rooms to hold meetings with guests without too strict of a security screening. The ground floor also has safes for each employee to put in their personal devices and valuables that they cannot take past security.   Bellow the gun ranges are two levels of garage.

Offices

The offices are all similarly equipped. Each employee can take some personal items to their desk, but they have to be approved by security. Employees are not allowed to take any electronic devices into or out of the building. Each employee has their own personal office. There are no shared office spaces to ensure security for each employee. Only that one employee can enter their own offices.

Meeting Rooms

There are various types of meeting rooms on every floor of the building. There is only one room per floor that allows communication with the outside world.

Security

The entire building is under tight security. The security consists of surveillance sensors and automated detection algorithms as well as security personel. The focus is on supernatural threats as ordinary humans are not really a threat to the security teams.     Every employee has to have their security badge on them to enter the building. There are only three ways to enter. Either the front entrance where most guests and employees come in from. The underground entrance where only cars can enter and the back entrance which is for maintenance staff and delivieries. At all three entrances are security guards posted with scanners and metal detectors. These checks are stricter than at the airport.   All the offices, the entrance area and the surrounding area of the building are surveilled by CCTV cameras. These cameras are watched by various automated system to check for suspicous patterns. Anything that is flagged is then checked by a security employee. During the night the entire building is secured with heat sensors and motion detectors. The security team is present at all times.   The most secure locations are the third floor and the sixth floor. On the third floor are the phyiscal servers located and parts of the offices of the hardware teams. These servers are top of the art and are not connected to the internet in any way.   The sixth floor contains a vault with copies of all the blueprints and specifications of Lytton Arms products. This is of course not the only copy so nothing is lost if the vault were to explode or disappear.

Breaks & Leisure

The building comes with various rooms and facilities which can be used by all employees during their breaks and at the end or right before their shifts. There is a gym, a cafeteria, a library, a mensa and a general purpose break room. Each of these facilities are run by trusted staff and are completely free for all Lytton Arms staff.   Most of these facilities are located on the second and fifthteenth floor. The facilities on the fifthteenth floor are more frequented by executive and some senior staff. Though in theory all employees can use the facilities on either floor.
