Hell Gate

The hell gate is located in Queens right below the surface.
It connects earth to a hellish dimension filled with a hive-minded demonic race. The Legion of Glory is fighting them since it was opened in the 18th century. Due to the nature of the breach it is not possible to close the gate.
The Legion has a large fortress beyond the gate. Each day thousands of Demons are slaughtered. The soldiers of the legion protect the fortress.
