Zedar Haish and The Hellseekers (Zeh-Darr High-Shh)

The now world famous crew of the Hellseeker, and their leader, the tabaxi adventurer Zedar Haish set out from the city of Abdella with the goal of re-discovering the lost northern continent on the world of Vasiona. Dozens had previously tried to locate a passage to the fabled lands, but none had been able to succeed, as the storms that had dissipated several centuries before had not done so in the seas north and west of the continent of Silaan. After being turned back by the storms on 4 separate occasions, Zedar had begun inquiring with the magical scholars in the city of Jindark as to any shred of information that could either help him calm the storms, or aid him in otherwise circumventing him to explore the northern oceans.
As chance would have it, he met a disgraced Air Genasi scholar by the name of Professor Eckus who had been ostracized from the cartographic community for suggesting that a magical ward of his own creation would protect any ship from the storms. This method had been attempted multiple times in the past, and as such his former colleagues berated him for beating a dead horse. Upon meeting the wayward Eckus, Zedar found himself convinced that there was something different about the air genasi from previous cartographers he had worked with.
Zedar hired the cartographer, and after another month of preparations, the crew of the Hellseeker set out once again, this time leapfrogging up the Zephana Coast to Gongo City, and launching their expedition anew from there. As the ship approached the permanent storm front, the seas raged as Eckus activated his device. The ship moaned and creaked under the stress of their travel, and for a brief moment, Zedar thought their voyage was done for as the Hellseeker crashed into a massive wave that by all rights should have capsized it! After opening his eyes however, he realized the ship was still upright, and continuing forward through the storm. The magnetics of which had been wreaking havoc on their navigation devices, and without a clear line of sight to the sky, had no idea if they were even heading in the right direction.
After two whole weeks of sailing the stormy waters, and many of the sailors on board succumbing to sea sickness, finally, land was spotted. A landing was made, and though they couldn't have known it at the time, they had just discovered the peninsula known as Titansthumb and landed on its eastern edge. After several probes inland, the crew discovered a spire in the distance, that appeared to be spewing forth storm clouds from its peak. Deciding to take along his 4 best combatants and explorers, as well as Professor Eckus, who was a fairly potent wizard himself to investigate.
Upon reaching what they now recognized as a tower, they discovered that it was in fact inhabited by giants! Storm Giants! They had been maintaining the magical devices within the tower to ensure their own rule over the local area wasn't challenged by the smaller races of the world, and fearing what the erstwhile adventurers would bring should they take news of this place back to the "civilized" world the giants attacked the party.
An intense battle followed, and two of Zedar's party were slain by the giants, but thanks to Eckus' magic, and his own martial prowess, the group were able to defeat the gargantuan folk and now had free reign of the tower. What they discovered within was an enormous horde of ancient technology, wealth, and magical artifacts that were sure to make them immensely wealthy. Furthermore, the professor was able to shut down the devices powering the storm outside, opening up the region now known as the Straits of Eckus to the world...
After returning to the city of Gongo, then to Abdella, the crew of the Hellseeker spread word of the discovery of a whole new region to explore, and secured themselves a place in adventuring history.
