Reedan
Reedan was an island almost completely inaccessible from the outside. Prior to the end of the Great Siege there were only a handful of small access points, tunnels not even wide enough to get a wagon train through them, people rarely came or went from the natural fortress. Over the course of nearly two years the Eliasan military carved out a section of the southern coastline large enough for their forces to finally pour over the Kingdoms like a tidal wave of violence.
Geography
An island roughly the size of Great Britain, the entire coastline (with the exception of what was removed in the Great Siege) is a sheer cliff side, a massive incredibly dense mountain range extending from below sea level to beyond the clouds. Thirty-five feet thick it was discovered after the wall fell that there is a five foot section in the center that is completely missing from bottom to top, its inner walls polished smooth.
Across the central landmass there are a few isolated mountains about but beyond those the terrain is almost disturbingly flat, several large lakes feed a wide network of waterways that spiderweb across the island feeding the swamps and wetlands of the undeveloped wilderness.
Several large sections of the island have been inhabited and developed by kingdoms, the fourth kingdom being ran primarily by druids and rangers tries to exist in harmony with their territory minimizing the impact they have on the nature that surrounds them.
Fauna & Flora
Swamp and wetlands dominate the wilderness of the island sharing terrain with subtropical tolerant forest areas. The climate is tropical/subtropical excluding the tundra region of the mountainous areas which leads to high amounts of precipitation and humidity kept in check by the lakes and river that dot the landscape.
Winters are very mild and short lived, the majority of the year dominated by hot summer days. So animals and creatures that favor cold climates have an extremely limited presence on the island. Animals that would traditionally hibernate have adapted by abandoning the practice entirely, developing thin coats of fur and leaner bodies.
Natural Resources
The island is dense with magic, spell component and magic conductive materials are bountiful across the island. These materials and the crafts derived from them have become a chief export of the island.
