Harvest

Due to the lack of sunlight on the planet, the growing of crops has become a much more complicated affair. The cultivation of fungus and lichen which require no sunlight to grow has become more prevalent. There have also been a number of advancements in the use of artificial light sources for the growing of small scale vegetable patches. Some of the constellations also produce light that plants can use for photosynthesis, though they have to be planted in specific places and in specific cycles to match the rotation of the constellations in the sky. It took many years but people are now able to produce sufficient food to feed most of the population on a regular basis.
