Bamboo and straw were plentiful. Logs needed to be chopped, and game needed to be captured. There was plenty of work for Sakiyori to do once he had found his place to rest. With Hifuri in hand, he was able to focus entirely on his being and his own growth. Within the monastery mountains, he had all the time in the world to develop himself... before the true start of his journey...

His time with Hifuri, his blade, was proving fruitful. Cutting down bamboo and straw as though they were people as he was slowly practicing releasing his aura. Though the most shocking of things would be the improvement in his eyesight. While he was dangerously shortsighted before, he was starting to notice things better than before. And that was only servicing him better than usual... A bit more and he might start to hunt game and start with live targets...

Narrative Entry


Taking food for himself as he lost himself in a bamboo forest, Sakiyori trained further with his blade. Yet, as he continued to strike down the bamboo, he was repeating words and phrases of the continent. Practicing his understanding as he couldn't help but to think back on his wife Tanako... She was always the better speaker, and could do it all with a smile... He's have to start mimicking her in an attempt to better plant himself in this world...

Narrative Entry


After his week in the bamboo forest, he found himself returning, both to check on a little girl before making his way into the temple for mediation. At first the monks were put off by the warrior in his bloody armor and bloody spirit. But with the daily meditations and focusing of himself, that usually fierce aura was slowly starting to be reeled in. Finally, after a month stay at the temple, Sakiyori finally seemed approachable by more than a few people, despite the venomous tongue he still seemed to have. By week's end, Sakiyori was normally found in the temple and seated on a cushion, his legs crossed and hands in a circle just above his navel. His eyes closed as set in front of him was a cracked, black egg with a glowing, red design in the cracks.
