Symbol Speech

"I have the reason to use this cipher. If you are aware of the truth behind the Mana for the sake of Volo, I will show you how to speak this Speech. If you don't, then consider yourself as an enemy of the Guardians and the Insignis race. Henceforth, I am not allowed to translate our whole meeting in public."
- Haven Velzo, the third Royal Magician of Lucidus during the second Lucidus monarchy meeting
Known as the cipher of the Mana, the Symbol Speech is a cipher system used by the Guardians of Mana Landmark and the chosen Insignis organizations. Derived from the ancient version of Litera, it's a Mana-induced language that can only be heard by the chosen Insignis. If someone else hears the cipher, they hear nothing more than echoed gibberish from Insignis and growls and cries from the Guardians.   Created by the Mana Nexum and the Guardians, it was first used to communicate with each other during several of their meetings regarding the Mana Landmarks and the political environment of the kingdoms. Its creation was another way to avoid leaking information to any ill-willed individuals as the cipher can only be learned by the trusted Insignis magicians and chosen individuals from other races.   To learn the cipher, a chosen Insignis must gain the trust of the Guardian whether by aiding them to protect the Landmarks or to prove themselves through a test. Once they do, they are transported into a suspended space in the Landmark where the Guardians taught them the language without the worries of time outside it. There are cases where Humans were able to prove themselves such as the Royal Magicians and the Lucidus monarchy, which the Guardian instead bestowed them special accessories or jewelry that grant them the cipher immediately.

Writing System

As it was borrowed from the ancient variation of Litera, it shared 18 of the 21 characters from the alphabet system along with 3 additional ones made specifically for the cipher.
