Arcus Woods

The Arcus Woods is a forest located near Liberia City of Medius and the town of Generalia from the Country of Signatio. It is where Cosmos Ruins, one of the four known Mana Landmarks of Volo guarded by Seiryu, the Azure Dragon is located.

Geography

The Arcus Woods is consists of several multicolored trees and bushes with several Mana crystal ore rocks scattered around the forest. There is also a lake connecting to the Serene Ocean sitting located northwest and several multicolored ponds were found in several open grassy plains in the forest.
As it was located near a Mana Landmark, it is known for it's twisting labyrinth-like paths and roads that lead many inexperienced Adventurers and wanderers lost in the woods.

Fauna & Flora

One unique detail about Arcus Woods is the bizarre variety of flora growing there. As it was located near one of the four Mana Landmarks, the Mana mutated several plants and trees into valuable resources used by many Insignis residents in the country, many that weren't found in other countries. Some of which are known to be deadly plant monsters that served as either pets or guardians in the right hands.
Along with the rare resources found in Arcus Woods, many monsters and fauna lived there, some that were created by Seiryu to serve as bodyguards and surveillance. Due to this, the Elders, Sages, and even the guardians from other Mana Landmarks advise that only experienced adventurers are allowed in the woods.

Natural Resources

Despite its bizarre nature, the forest is known to grow special herbs along with Magus Herbs, Shrouded Lilies, Testa Flowers, and Salutem Herbs, some are known ingredients for many potions and medicine used in the magical medical community. Not only that, but several trees and plants such as Mystic Hazel Trees, Starshade Shrubs, and Spenim Fruit Trees have also grown here. Some are sought-after by several known blacksmiths, pharmacists, alchemists, and more.
However, one famous material that can only be found in Arcus Woods is the Arcana Ore. Not only it is used for creating several armors and weapons that are used by famous Adventurers, Soldiers, and Magicians, but the Arcanic Crystals attached to the ores are used to power several Magitech vehicles and devices that change the course of Volo's history.
