Nimbus

Nimbus is a gas-giant whose lower atmosphere is wracked with wind and storms. It is believed to have an uninhabitable solid core, but the upper atmosphere is a wide band that is rich in oxygen and water, making it habitable.   The upper (livable) atmosphere has a circumference of 4,200 miles. Nimbus is huge compared to the other micro-planets in the Primean Solar System.

Settlements

Arakocra   Large flocks of Aaracokra , though not indigenous, have been placed here by the Wind Dukes to battle evil elementals that would try to claim Nimbus as a home.   The Aarakocra construct large communal nests that are light enough to be held aloft by air elementals. Other airborne flora and fauna serve as food for the Aarakocra. The spend their days soaring the thermals and being ever watchful for evil elemental activity.   The Aarakocra have shown very little desire to actively intermingle with other races, though they are friendly to those they trust. On one occasion they aided a gas mining ship that was plunging to its doom after suffering a malfunction.   Genasi (Air)   Many air genasi congregate here and live amongst the human population.   Humans (Etolarian)   The Etolarian Empire has constructed a number of floating cities here that drift through the clouds suspended by massive lift bags of buoyant gas. The largest and oldest is Lofterton. These human colonies are the largest provider of various bottled gasses and other distilled elements - most obtained by independently contracted "fishers" who extend segmented pipes into the lower stratas of Nimbus.   Some of the more opulent cites are vacation destinations for the wealthy.       Moons   Nimbus has many small moons, the most important are:
