Block element modes revert to basic on subsequent edits

When using the embedded block element in an alternate mode, i.e.: badge, trackable, subsequent edits revert the embedded block elements to the basic sheet. The only way I can find to resolve it is to completely delete the block and re-insert it. This is consistently reproducible. I have not yet discovered a way to make it stick through multiple edits. I expect it to retain the |mode attribute on subsequent edits.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. open an article
  2. embed a block element using a mode such as badge :
  3. wait for autosave
  4. view article in world - badge embed is displayed
  5. edit article
  6. view article in world - observe block now displays basic mode

Hello :)
Which editor are you using?
What do you mean when you are talking about "alternate mode", could you provide a bbcode sample?
Thanks

I am using the Plutarch editor.

Statblock elements have a mode selector indicated after a pipe. E.g.:

'block:######' vs. 'block:######|badge' vs. 'block:######|trackable' but inside square brackets.

as per the codex article: https://www.worldanvil.com/w/WorldAnvilCodex/a/custom-statblock-templates

Hey there! Unfortunately, the Plutarch editor does not currently support modes for statblocks. Here's a link to what the visual editor can currently do: https://www.worldanvil.com/learn/interface/visual-text-editor .If you feel strongly about adding support for this, feel free to propose it as a feature here: https://www.worldanvil.com/community/voting/ . If you want a quick solution for now, I recommend switching to the Euclid editor, as it supports all bbcode blocks. Thank you so much for the feedback!

I'll consider that. That was not evident, and one might consider adding that information to the instructional documentation linked to the statblock configuration guides.
