Manuscripts is World Anvil's novel-writing software. You can use it to write, edit, and even publish your stories with a seamless integration with your world. If you are a worldbuilder on top of a writer, you might want to view or edit your world articles while working on your Manuscript. Here's how to do that:
- Access Manuscripts by clicking Manuscripts in the left sidebar.
- On the top left, there is a search bar next to the green plus button. You can type a word relevant to the title of that world article you want to view.
- On the right panel, you can see the relevant search results in your Manuscript under the book symbol.
- To see the relevant search results in your world, click on the globe icon right next to it.
- Click on the title of the article that you were looking for. You can now view it while in the Manuscripts interface.
- On the top of that article you can choose to Quick Edit, Edit, View in World and Close it. Don't forget to Save any changes to that world article before closing it.
How to create a new article while working on your Manuscript
- Click on the green +Article button on the bottom right of your screen
- Click on a template to create a new article of that type.
- Write the title for your article. Selecting a Category is optional.
- Press Shift + Enter to proceed.
- Fill in the content of your article.
- Press Shift + Enter to submit it.
