Last Hope

Ahoy my favortie lass,
 
I had looked at your drawing today and cried. I cant imagine how your life is like right now without your parents with you. I'm so sorry... I promise we will see each other again. No matter the cost. Today we lost another person. He was killed by a ghost of some kind. Your dad has seen his share of spirits. Things that keep sailors up at night. This land is more cursed than I had imagine. The people here though are nice. the towns people live their day today life doing what they can to build the town. Currently we are all sleeping in tents surrounded by a wall. I rather sleep on the deck of a ship but I'm getting use to it. I plan on becoming a blacksmith. Exciting right? Ya dad trying to make a new life here... Luna when I meet you I think its time to tell you the reason why I been gone for so long. That's for a different journal. I want to tell you about the people here. First I'll tell you about a man named Jamison. He's a great guy, but has gaps in his memory. I have made it a goal to help the poor Lad. Lately he has been stressed about it. Two people have died on their adventures and Jamison was in both groups. I'm not saying he killed them, it's just bad luck. Ay Jamison would not be capable of such a thing. He's more of a discover than anything. He even saved your father from nearly dying. I respect that man, He has a big heart. There is also a brave little barnacle named Kirth. This Lad is full of a youthful flame. He reminds me so much of you Luna. It's getting kinda hard to be around him. Both of you are like jackdaws. If you don't know what that is sweet heart it's a small bird. But you have more maturity to you.. Hes a funny kid and one day you may be good friends. I'm doing what I can to protect him. But a more efficient way is to let him go out with the adventuring group. Each time he leaves and comes back, he gets stronger. Watching him grow up into a man, reminds me of my youthful days.
 
Next there is Apollo. He's a man who wants to become a god. I honesty don't think it's possible but I'll let the Lad dream. If he does become one your father already has favors stacked up. He is also a man who likes Both main mast... If you get what I mean. He gets a certain way that makes any creature uncomfortable. But the Lad plan on becoming a god so I guess he already has the personality. He's a very kind man, just needs to be watched sometime. Next is Artio. She is a skilled bow woman who loves nature. She doesn't agree that me that we should hunt down those pesky land birds called the "Blood Hawks" but she does what she has to do, to save the town. I thought i was a skilled hunter until she came back with some big game. She has some what of your mothers fiery spirit. And no, I am not attracted to her if any doubt ever comes across your mind. Your mother was the only woman for me. and She gave me the greatest gift... You, my moon. Back on topic. Artio is a strong ally to have and carries respect that she deserves.
 
Banbeck...This man was the first to die on my adventures. I carry a certain guilt Lass. He died to to my greed. there was a trapped chest that froze him in place. He had done all he could to save us. It should have been me. But then it would be selfish of me because I would have left you with no hope left. Never again. He was a prankster that always bothered Jamison. They fought like cats and dog. It was enjoyable. I really wanted to see them fight back in the tavern. Maybe make some bets on the side. but Banbeck was father to Krol. they didn't have a good relationship but i think its important to honor your parents in some way. My parents were never in the picture and your mothers parents well.. they were stuck in their way unwilling to change with the world. I went on my first adventure with these guys. and when I sail back home I might recruit them to be on my ship.
 
I have plans being set in motion that could benifit us in the future. but I know these deeds are not good... I'm slowly slipping into my old ways. No matter what you may here, I'm always thinking of you Luna. Tell your Aunt she needs to stop riding the waves of other men and get a life.
