So that happened. Then - Yes - We all got a decent sleep for the night.
 
They headed back to an old pirate base, (Tilles Clan after being an Imperial base) where there were more guys in black armor, claiming to a=have a (drugged or tranquilized) Boba Fett. (!!!)
Nova Zelid is another hostage of
Chalcedon helped with putting sand in the invaders' engines. They have a lot of repairs to make.
 
We met after a light breakfast at the conference room. Noki was there with Sparks. Hicks walked in with us, asking "I wonder if that is the same base Annikin and Obi Wan were exploring. Rico pulled up a map of the area. It was not a base we had already explored. This was in the Kessora Mountains in the middles of the continent. It was heavily bombed during the last war. The old sensors seemed to be partially operational, as were the defenses.
 
Rico and Hicks expected this might be an extremely temporary home for them. They would expect an airdrop. They probably have a back door.
We formed a plan to have a disguised infiltration team and a loud distraction team.
Doc entered and alerted us that the flash bang grenades yesterday contained a Toxic smoke made from mushrooms which results in flu symptoms.
We took rebreathers.
Almon, who tested positive for the flu, started work to hijack the signal from the suits.
 
Danar and I trained with the Dark Trooper armor. Hicks and Rico coated their white armor black. We successfully hijacked the telemetry.
I planned to provide Almon with a tunnel into their computer systems from the inside the base later. I requested from Almon a powerful signal transmitter/receiver to take with me.
 
And I cannibalized my Medical Scanner Glove to act as a Space Warp Detector by detecting sudden changes in floating particles in the air, which hopefully might alert us to the sudden appearance of other dark troopers.
 
Noki tracked orders of offworlder food and suspects they were here on planet for 6 weeks.
 
I hacked Nova Zaleed's journal and found she was trying to investigate the dark troopers personally. Apparently other Replicants like her were being targeted. She was surprised to find that the Dark Troopers seemed to be following Crimson Knights.
 
Our Tilles Pirate clan contact said 2km north of the base is a cave system with odd minerals which contains a secret escape tunnel.
 
We would not learn for a while later that Team Distraction's disposable landspeeder with black market racing mods was actually a pod racer modified to appear legal.

Hicks piloted our nondescript borrowed vehicle to land at the location mentioned by the former Tilles Clan Pirate. We found a camouflage sheet covering the imperial blast doors of the secret entrance. I impersonated a maintenance droid and told the door that I needed it to cycle so that I could apply oil lubricant to the gears. It complied with apparently no signals to elsewhere in the base.
 
Inside, we found no tracks in years of dust and sand. A control terminal and a few cart-sized indoor hovercraft were fully functional. I reached out into the Math to find only an occasional ping to a network, only enough data to indicate that the terminal still exists with power. I decided not to attach Almon's BackDoor transmitter to this terminal as it would suddenly transmit a suspiciously large amount of data. My companions Danar Vorpadaran and Clone Trooper Corporal Hicks concurred.
 
Danar piloted one of the vehicles to take us into the base.
 
We would learn later that no less than six Mark3 Dark Troopers met Vanya, Koleen, and Zaye at the front door, plus a number of cloaked invisible troopers on the ground around them. The Jedi talked to them.
And Gareth Vormaceti was in the compound muttering that he was picking up a lightfoil nearby.
 
At a set of turbolifts, we left the vehicle ready to take us away at high speed later. We took the maintenance manual tunnel up one sublevel, one with some amount of activity. I attached Almon's electronic back door so that he could hack into the base systems. We decided we needed to split up to rescue both hostages at the same time.

I went to the Replicant's medical room where I found an angry Awakeen was attempting to hack into her memories. The two human technicians told me that the information they were trying to retrieve was Crimson Knight training which a Knight had given to this Replicant. I knew the Knights were especially trained to defeat the martial arts known to this crew. I gave the Awakeen a story that there was another Replicant being delivered which would be easier to crack. He was quite irritated. I "accidentally" unlatched one of the Replicant's arm restraints.
