Dear Dad,
The earliest memory I have was this one night, you had closed shop early. You and Mama were sitting with me at the kitchen table, teaching me Orcish. I remember it being funny, Mama was making fun of you. You laughed and would get frustrated with me at words that just didn't make sense to say, since you guys taught me common first. I had to be like... 2? 3? I remember later that night, you had put me to bed, but I couldn't fall asleep. I snuck out of bed and watched you guys from the hall. You guys were holding eachother, dancing slowly as you sang a song to Mama. I remember smiling and watching for quite a while, until I sneezed and gave away that I was awake. You guys quickly cooed over me and made sure I was tucked in and fell asleep after that.
The way you see the world is so beautiful. You raised me to believe in the good of people, that everyone has a heart, from the toughest of pirates, to the drunk on the street.
I'm so thankful to have you as my father.
I love you, Dad.
