Personal Journal Entry: 1

An interesting day to say the least.
After a few days of peaceful sailing, we landed upon Museo Island. It as if our voyage was destined to lead us to be up to no good. The newspaper we had recieved from the Courier Pelican a few days prior had mentioned that the museum had just recently recieved an "item of pirate history", and obviously, us being pirates, we were intruiged.
Upon boarding the island, we noticed that the town was quiet, not a lot of market activity in the night. We decided that a night's sleep in the local inn was the best course of action. Entering the bar, we again realized that there was very few patrons, albeit only about 8pm. Two gentlemen dressed in suits, and a minotaur bartender named Gruul. After ordering a glass of scotch, I decided it was time to get some information on the town, so I approached one of the men in the suits and offered them my scotch.
The men were relic hunters, an occupation that pays well since the museum is the town's main attraction. There are ruins in this island that contain items of power and granduer, that the museum pays a hefty premium to display in their museum for. The item is said to be revealed in 3 days, plenty of time to gather intel, gear up, and prepare for a heist.
Thanking the gentlemen at the table, I paid for the party's stay in the inn. We all agreed that the next morning, we would set out for the museum to case it. At 8am, the museum opened, and we were greeted by a man with an oversized and obnoxious top hat. I adored it, even making a mental note to get a hat of my own. He introduced himself as Curator Recliamation, and guided us into the building. The interior of the museum was divided in 3 sections; Oddities, Naval History, and Sea History.
The floor to the oddities section was moving, as if it were controlled by a machine, so I made sure to make a note of that in order to prepare for the heist.
The room had a few other items, but the item of our interest was not revealed yet, so we decided to go back and work on our own projects for the rest of the day. I am excited and nervous to commit my first burglary, but it will be incredibly fun.
