Dear Dad,
I hope you haven’t been too worried about me. I’m sure you saw the paper, and before you think another thought, yes, that was the ship I am aboard. Everything is okay there, especially with someone with my expertise of navigation on board.
We landed on our first island yesterday, and it was interesting to say the least. It seems to be uninhabited by humans for the most part, except every so often the “Circus” stops in and sets up. Faire games and entertainment acts were everywhere, as well as some events that required us to perform. Very strange. Nevertheless, we, well most of us, were in high spirits.
We also gained a new member for our little crew, even if it’s just for a moment. A frail appearing woman with the power to launch balls of lava, could you imagine that?
Anyway, everyone gets along fine, except for me and that fiend called a captain. I would never call a lady a foul word, but I sure do think it sometimes... hopefully she will warm up to us all and stop being so snarky.
Anyways, I hope all is well, Dad. Stay safe out there.
Your Eternally Grateful Son,
Umnir Biggendan
