The Rape of Lapota

by Captain! Blackthorne

[Roughly translated from the Ancient Tongue]

Sing to me, Muse, of the god Lepotas, Whose fate was cruel, and heart full of sorrow.

For her love Osount had died, and she was seized by Fury in violent lust.

From this barbaric act, Pek was born, a child of pain, which Lepotas endured.

Vain was her hope that Osount would return, In the form of this son, for which she longed.

But when the baby was struck alongside a locust shadow, Lepotas knew her hope was empty.

She put Pek in a boat and sent him to sea, Hoping the child would find a new life.

On the coast of The Malandexi, Pek was a god of malice, with many plans.

He built a shallow reef of coral, sharp and hard, to keep ships away and hide himself.

With a lighthouse he misled them to their doom, the sailors recognizing their death.

Thus, the wicked god reveled in his cruel ways, and Pek lived on, as fate would align.
