There’s a Dwarf

by Captain! Blackthorne

There’s a dwarf,
but not that kind of dwarf
He’s betrothed and not in a rush
You see,
He’s got life to waste, biding his time
Reason and brooding is best, and a brood can wait

Now,
There’s a man who’s a dwarf,
but not that kind of dwarf
He’s got a squeeze, she’s calm and supports
A life of leisure it’s not, when he longs for her cot
Thrusting and lusting all day, can’t wait

Then,
There’s a man who’s a brute,
but not that kind of brute
He’s sailing far away, against a falling sea
Where love is a wave that grows and crashes
Smashing the shores, a thrash and abate

Last,
There’s a brute who’s a man,
but not that kind of man
His hammer is hard, but his heart is not
Like a frozen lake, through the mirror in the snow his child awaits
