Session 1

At the diner, Elkan finally revealed his mysterious project that he had been hinting out for so long. He wanted to restore a place lost in a hate cyst in the Expanse, believed to be the hidden library of Onivar Breme. The source of this information is Minister Aug Fullan of Public Works who is paying mage coin to clear this up. Since my acquisition of Breme's house , I have been searching for information on his hidden library or what became of him, so this was very intriguing.
 
After our meal we went to Eurydice's home to see what we could find out about the growing number of dead spirits showing up there. I believe there was some antics/commotion with the spirits and Aloys, but I was occupied in the kitchen at the time trying to make some tea. Eurydice interviewed the spirits asking about their deaths and we learned the following.
 

• Hollis a Maker who drowned in a tidal wave in their living room while reading after seeing spiders on their bookshelf


• Artemis an Apostate who was killed by ridiculous amounts of acid. Previously saw many spiders at Zero's bar before going home.


• ?????? killed by a blade made of shadow

 
Besides the spiders which Joro indicated where trying to warn these Vislae of their impending doom, we had a hard time finding a commonality.
We eventually coaxed out of the spirits that they all had been dabbling in Soul Magic recently.

The soul magic seemed very similar to what Aloys Aloys and I had been working on before the War with the Pneuma. I recalled that I had a contact since returning from Shadow named Mercy . She had implied that she had or had access to the Lockless Key which has secrets enscribed on its flesh. I made a note to go visit Mercy with Aloys later after we went to examine the ruins of Breme's library.
 
We arrived at what we believed to be the entrance to Breme's library which is the ruins of a clock tower. Being so near to a hate cyst quickly brought trouble however. We were accosted by a tall figure surrounded by feral cats. We tried to talk and reason with it, but it was filled with hate. Magic and blades proved quite effective against it and so we dispatched it without injuring any cats. We learned the figure was a Feral Shepherd after it turned to dust and Elkan and I questioned the remains. One of the cats was quite unique, it was Blue in both name and color. Blue thanked us for freeing her and took up with Elkan. I gifted a Cat's sigh for Blue to have in Elkan's yard.
 
The clock appeared to be in a somewhat damaged shape but clearly wasn't for measuring time. The clock clearly had wards and magic's in place and seemed to be able to open a gateway and the base of the clock. We heard a menacing knocking from behind it. The outer dial and etchings of animals(rat,swan,goat,snake,spider,ant...) while the inner dial had symbols that seemed to align with the 13 secret souls. The inner dial's hand was broken as were several of the symbols on both dials. The outer dial was pointed at spider when we inspected. Elkan was going to get a crew together to clean up and repair the clock tower while making a new clock hand for the inner dial. He indicated this would take about a month.
