To my Dear Celia
Right, well, today was certainly an interesting day...
Today when going to the tavern that i go to to remind me of the grove I waylaid unto some other task, which I dearly hope will either serve to aid my mission, or at the very least, not take too long. That being said I do appreciate having some direction as to what needs to be done for the first time in a while.
Some green skinned monstrous humanoids ran through a portal that opened in the middle of the room. Somehow myself and the denizens of the tavern at the time managed to fend them off and close the portal.
I'm now caught up in some inter-dimensional shenanigans trying to close some portals connected to the arcane leylines I assume. Wizards...
Firstly I think i might have made a mate, Syrus, he's a Solen and one of the few among this rag tag group of bastards. He's looking for some criminal underworld or something? Hopefully we can be of help to one another.
I got picked up by my head by a Pharat'ii named Gurvel I think and forced into translation services to ask about some monkey he was looking for. I don't like him. But he has good taste in food, i must admit.
Then there's the little green mokuna, I don't like him either. He's too eccentric. Doesn't seem to know restraint. But he closed the portal, so it seems there might be some validity to his claims of greatness.
The Leishu child, whatever her name is is rude, undisciplined and arrogant, I wish deeply that our interactions will be limited, brief and that i wont need to associate with her for long.
Theres also a Lupo amongst us, I've barely said two words to her as yet, but I've always been on reasonable terms with the Lupo, so I do hope this one is similar to the rest of her people, if so, We'll get along fine...
We are also accompanied by a Gold Elf, I haven't spoken with one of her kind in decades. So long as she doesn't subscribe to the practices of her people as fully as the last I encountered...
For some unknown reason the bartender from the tavern is with us aswell. I hope she proves useful and hasn't gotten herself in over her head.
There's also 3 elves, I don't know their names, nor do i particularly want to learn any more names.
It's been a long time since I felt anticipation about what is to come, but then again, not much has happened for a long time.
Never thought I'd miss the grove this much.
I hope things at the grove are well, or at least as well as they can be, given everything.
Annoyingly we have come almost all the way back to the start of my journey, almost all the way back to the grove.
Your friend,
Arty
