it's time to show Kat what's possible. poor kid has only had things happen TO him, not happen FOR him. he needs to see there there's another way. he's scared and stressed because he doesn't see the good that's out there. his mom's thinking something bad is destined for him. i don't know if he's aware of that or not but it's there.
 
i don't believe in "destiny"
 
it just sounds like an excuse to not try
 
you can always change your luck and there's always a choice
 
he's got so much light and good in him. he told me he wants to write, tell stories
 
i think that's a first. something he wants for himself.
 
it's time for him to start making his own choices
 
i told him the story about the dude with two pills. he was scared and wanted to hide until i showed him there was another way. he embraced it without hesitation
 
he wants to see the good and feel that sense of adventure
 
i can help him reach that and show him so much more
 
i brought him to the boardwalk where the Mist is always thin. his whole being was lit from the inside out
 
but it still faded at the end of the night
 
he's not there yet, but it's close
 
and i'll be here to guide him when it does
