after traveling south of the abandoned temple, my companions and I came across a strange lake. It seems that there is a spirit of some kind that dwells within the lake. This spirit will accept electrum coins in exchange for a boon of sorts.
Continuing our journey south around 200 feet we came across a patch of violet fungus. this mushroom is a violet color as the name implies and have a sort of spongy flesh. They are dangerous as they rot the flesh of anything they touch with their whip like tendrils. If you see any it is best to engage them from a distance or simply avoid them all together.
We traveled south another 100 feet where we found a cave. Before exploring to far into the cave we were harassed by a quickling, a native of the fey wilds. It warned us that going to far into the cave would get us eaten by its master, a creature by the name of Gunk. The fey would not give us any details about this "Gunk" only that it was its ruler. At this point we decided to return to camp, not wanting to poke the sleeping bear. Especially since the quickling was being very rude by throwing apples at us.
On our way back to camp we cam across fresh basilisk tracks leading from east to west. We elected not to pursue at the moment and continued back to town.
