Not alone and far from home

After gathering all of our things we finally decided to tackle our first bounty!
I met another Gnome today!! A blacksmith no less! I ended up having my dad's sword sharpened and axe fortified. Haha I suppose I should start calling it my sword? it still feels strange. I ended up asking for a set of hand axes from the Blacksmith. I'm hoping he knows what a gnome needs the most out of a weapon! I sure don't.
Carmine and a fenine.. pup? Wanted to come along.
We managed to get the pup to stay in the city, but I wasn't able to get Carmine to stay.. I just don't want him to get hurt again but he is right. more numbers on your side the more of a chance you have to... well maybe that's not the best turn of phrase to use.
I wonder how this mission is going to pan out. I can't wait to see the stories we will tell of this adventure!!

after a bit of travel we found what turned out to be Eric Barrow's hideout in the furvine jungle.
It was so strange, I would not have expected such a organic structure for such a villain.. There HAS to be a druid involved.
I ended up taking quite a fall from the tunnel. How the hell did that sorcerer get down here?!
Carmine came down after me, I was trying to be as quiet as possible to not alert what might be inside.
It was nice to know Carmine was concerned. I feel like we work alright as a team.

HOLY SHIT
OKAY SO- Essentially Eric was far less imposing at first from his wanted poster. He was so weak I was starting to worry that the.. I think was a tiefling- or something was feeding off of his energy.
Turns out Eric was feeding off of the energy of these strange orbs to attack us.
Evelyn managed to take out the first one.. which seemed to... bleed?
I was sure Gen was going to take out Eric, he ended up hurting her so bad, I was afraid for her life.
I cracked open another after Eric consumed the other two and ran over beside Gen.
I tried to use dad's Sword but I guest I was over-swinging it from how much of an energy boost I had and missed.
After it was all said and done Gen was almost gone, Evelyn, Gen and the Priest ended up healing everyone. I managed to get Carmine out of the water and we were all okay.. for the most part.
There was a Large Millipede looking monster that ended up ripping apart the moment of peace we had.
I was so afraid of Gen and everyone getting hurt again I just leapt into action.
It was more off guard than we were, I ended up taking it down in a flurry of axe swings. What a story to tell!
I do wonder though.. If killing it so quickly was the best course of action..

It said something, I don't know how, but I could hear it. In it's last breath..
it said " I'll set it all free. route the plague away.. nova's name" With Eric praying something about Nova, I can't help but wonder if Nova is the Plague or something is plaguing Nova..
Why does that name sound so familiar.. "Nova" there was another name, I think it might be of that tiefling "Astraya".. Hm.. sounds like a name Mom would make up. OH also I let Gen have a swing at using my axe. She.. uh, did a decent? job of beheading Eric for the bounty.. I'm not letting her use it again though, Goodness, it's a surprise he was recognizable.
I also managed to get some armor plating from the Millipede, wonder how useful it's going to be! Maybe some new Armour, or a shield! Surely a beast as tough of this can be useful.
