▹ Upon returning to Bryn Shander, Evelyn stops by the Church of Helm, run by Grigor, hopefully to catch a nap or a hot meal before starting her day. She's exhausted since she pushed herself to arrive sooner than anticipated, but as soon as she steps in the door, she's greeted by strangers and asked to help them with a request from the Mayor as Grigor is unable to help, having already exhausted his magic for the day preparing for the church service. Evelyn agrees, meeting Rhodi ( another spellcaster, maybe sorcerer?? ) and Varrick ( warlock? forgot what he said, some spellcaster).
 
▹ Next, they find the paladin Myalee and the (druid?) Eliodiel.
 
▹ They go to the Mayor's building, where they find out the Mayor is out of town and won't be back until the evening.
 
▹ The quest is to find out what is going on with the quaking coming from Arco's house; Evelyn confiscated three silk memory foam pillows as payment ( as the Mayor instructed) for investigating.
 
▹ The house is strangely warm, 70 degrees in the main house and then 80 when they go downstairs into the basement. There they find a dead tree that had been growing underground and strange glass-like ice.
 
▹ They found his body entombed in ice and stuck to the floor. Unable to remove him, the party left him there. Evelyn said a few prayers for the wizard, hoping to help him find his way into the afterlife and comfort Eliodiel.
 
▹ There were several shadows, and one that was extremely large they had to fight against. They were weak to light, and using the mirrors, Evelyn was able to help get rid of the big one.
 
▹ Rhodi's mother, Silifrey, was stabbed by a chardalyn dagger, and Evelyn has to help get it out.
 
▹ Party found some silver ( 20 each ), spell scrolls, and some books they gave to Silifrey.
 
▹ Evelyn manages to save Rhodi's mom with help from someone, but she isn't sure who.
 
▹ They go to a tavern to have drinks and recover from what they just experienced; Evelyn, still having the dagger, tells the party what she's experienced with what chardalyn stuff does to people, how she lost her boyfriend to it, and how it was a Cleric of Auril who corrupted him.
