Descoperi, typically known as "Des", was born to Eigo and a woman that was from Krezk. His mother died in child birth and so he never met her. His father was a woodsmen that was brought here from Waterdeep. It has always been assumed that Count Strahd, "Fang Face" was the one that brought him here.
 
Eigo would bring Des books as he was able to obtain them for the purpose of educating his son as best as he could. They resided in a log cabin within the woods and typically avoided the townships as long as they didn't need to venture there. The Barovians were not the most welcoming to them as Eigo worked for Count Strahd and, in their eyes, seemed demonic for the obvious reasons.
 
As Descoperi grew older he became in love with histories, artifacts, and such. It did not take him long to find his path, both as a rogue, and a self proclaimed archaeologist.
