Mycroft's parents ensured that he would receive a good education that would steer him away from the qualms of the Otherworld. He attended the University of Oxford for a year, before returning after the presumed death of his parents.

Mycroft had never felt the need to pursue a line of employment, being so young and of noble blood. After the Red Wedding, Mycroft spurred the creation of a democratic society in Otherworld alongside the Ace of Spades, becoming a politician and philanthropist.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Mycroft's strongest moment was breaking through the illusion of his dead parents. After recognising that the Redwinds had faked his parents' deaths in captivity with illusory magic, Mycroft shattered the spell with his raw arcane potential, freeing him and his party.
Failures & Embarrassments
Mycroft didn't return home when he heard of the untimely death of his childhood friend Theo Price. He still regrets this stress-motivated decision, and understands that Esmerys and the Prices may never fully forgive him.

Motivation
In his initial adventure in Otherworld, Mycroft's primary motivation was to free his parents from the Blood King and Decapitating Queen, Ernest and Vera Burke.
After the Crimson Kingdom was overthrown, Mycroft worked to end the neverending familial feud between the Burkes and Lennoxes through the creation of a democratically elected governing body, despite pushback from both monarchists and anarchists.
