Initially recruited to the first order as an intelligence operative, Varian was drawn to the promises of galaxy-wide power and stability.
Over time and in the wake of broken promises he became disenfranchised with the order.
With his close proximity to vital data, Varian was able to see the Order's downfall well before it happened in actuality, and he determined to hasten it on his own terms. Forged orders here, an unfortunate explosion there, and Varian put in motion the seperation of his cell from the order as a whole.
In the aftermath of the orders destruction, Varian salvaged what he could of his intel teams and set out on his new mission. Create or support a galactic order both stable and powerful enough to allow lasting peace
