The Anvilgaard also seek out to retrieve or destroy powerful shards which are loosed by the World Anvil into the cosmos. If left unchecked these shards could bring about cataclysm of an unimaginable scale.
The Anvilgaard family were the founders of this organization and many of it's members have proudly protected anvil and it's errant shards over many generations.
Each family member undergoes a spiritual journey called The Tempering to learn the various skills and crafts involved with protecting the anvil, retrieving and disposing of shards as well as serving Erathis devoutly.

There his father taught him the delicate art of Runecrafting and the skills learned from Dwarves and their magical sciences.
