Sadly, her past life as a mage is as faded as a sun-bleached parchment. All she has left is a nagging suspicion she was once a magical powerhouse, not just a glorified pen with existential dread.

Gwenth the quill boasts a resume longer than a scroll unwound by a drunken gnome. As an implement, she's penned epic treaties (though the constant bickering over punctuation nearly drove her to a blot), heart-wrenching love letters (guaranteed to make even a troll shed a tear, or at least drool dramatically), enough shopping lists to stock a dragon's hoard, and even a particularly scathing critique of the Elven ambassador's comb-over that incited a minor diplomatic incident (though some might say that was her finest work).
 
However, whispers of a grander past echo within her hollow core. She hazily recalls conjuring firestorms that would make a phoenix blush, bargaining with a grumpy djinn for a lifetime supply of high-quality parchment (a deal that still haunts her dreams), and maybe, just maybe, accidentally teleporting a particularly slow apprentice into the Feywild (though that one might be the overactive imagination of a lonely quill).
