Dearest diary
 
Wow, this is a bit of an odd one, but I felt it necessary to share this with you diary. Jeez, where do I start, just a petty romantic fantasy.
 
I have NEVER EVER in my life EVER been in the slightest bit interested in boys, I've been to busy being QUEEN!! I mean! WHAT THE FUCK! It - I don't know how to feel, maybe it's just because I've been told I need to "find a mate" as to not kill off the family name, but I honestly am too busy for that.
 
It happened today while I was "entertaining" the son of the duke of a nearby city to lunch. The royal guard were training new recruits in the quad just outside the dining hall. The duke's son was droning on about how "absolutely spectacular" I was or something, just the common wooing tactics to try and be a king despite our rituals. I was nodding mindlessly at his empty words knowing full well that he didn't mean any of it. "Oh your hair flows like a river" Ya, sure buddy you keep believing that. He kept rambling compliments on and on, so I peered out of the window onto the course where they were training.
 
They were going through the normal, everyday routine as they do with the new recruits. March synchronizing and such, what which orders mean (ect). I was looking over them, all looking noble and ready to serve their kingdom and their queen with faces as hard as stone, but there was one face, one ... smile ... through the pain. He was laughing, joking, yet still fully and obediently obeying the rules.
 
He looked up, his emerald green eyes reflecting and refracting the light creating a crystal effect as our eyes crossed paths. He stopped, stared, smiled and bowed slightly. I (of course) had absolutely no idea what in the hell I was supposed to do so I awkwardly did a lil wave thingy, alerting the duke's son who angrily glared at him as he shut the curtains. I can see his face still, I HATE IT! I should not be in this state, it's distracting from my work, but I can't stop thinking about him. I mean, we didn't even really meet! I sound like a whiny teenager rambling on and on about what he thought of me, I thought I had broken that cycle in life!
