Appearance

Physical Description

Formerly an athlete. He's not as in shape as he was a few years back, but he's kept up a decent amount of muscle, mostly in his core and legs.

Body Features

Large hands. Thick, hairy arms and really nice legs, but his skin is scarred by careless little burns and nicks. He's working with enough cake to get a good grip in and he fills out a pair of pants nicely, but it's not quite going to push him into legendary status.

Facial Features

Diamond-shaped and generally clean-shaven, cupid's bow drawn at his lips. Thick, dark eyebrows and lashes. Eyes that seem out of place with the way he presents; a little too calculating, too watchful.

Identifying Characteristics

Smells distinctly like basil, lemon, and salt. Not just him; his spells leave notes of it for a brief time as well.

Physical quirks

His hands are rarely ever still if he's not actively concentrating on it, though he makes an effort to reel it in more subtly when in public. Gestures when talking, tapping surfaces impatiently, idly touching textures or tracing words with his index finger when reading. If you try to restrain his hands when he's talking, his leg bounces instead; if that's not an option, his face gets twitchy or he blanks and goes quiet.

Apparel & Accessories

Most of his clothes are simple with some academic class; he favors autumn and neutral color palettes. Sweaters, pants, loafers, that sort of thing. Occasionally dips into athleisure for comfort when traveling, working out, or staying in. Usually wears a silver chain necklace and a wristwatch.

When he's casting, his eyes cloud over.

Special abilities

He can cast hexes directly around the target, or from a distance if he has a token from them. The first spell that came naturally to him was Ring of Lies, but there were some... severe side-effects. In an effort to teach him some empathy to counteract the potency, his nonna worked with him on learning the Watching spell.

A highschool diploma, and some other more important shit they don't give you papers for. He's in college now, so maybe there will be another impressive piece of parchment in his future.

Full-time student, but he picks up the occasional side-gig.

Schroëdinger's bisexual. He doesn't put much stock in labels and doesn't openly identify as anything. The kind of guy who both "has a lot of gay friends" and a desktop wallpaper of a sexy lady knight or whatever, but never really gives you a clear answer if asked.

Family Ties

Nonna Renza; his grandmother, and mentor in witchcraft. She has always been a gentle presence for Nico, and he spent a lot of his childhood listening to her stories about their family history and old traditions.

Grandma Victoria; his other grandmother. Being non-magical has never disqualified her as the family matriarch, a position she fulfills with great efficiency and a reputation for being a stone cold bitch.

Religious Views

Not Catholic, not Pagan, but a secret third thing. (A witch.)

Hobbies & Pets

Pets are more of a human thing, but a trained animal can be rather useful for a witch. Nico doesn't have one of his own, but considered it a couple of times during summer vacation with how many strays were roaming around.
