Personal history

From a young age, he exhibited natural aptitude for both music and technology. His father, Krel'ryn'Vaat, an esteemed engineer and strategist, and his mother, Nyma'ryn'Vaat, a skilled diplomat and musician, nurtured his talents. Thal learned to play the Chiss harmonium from his mother, developing a deep appreciation for music and its cultural significance.

The turning point in Thal's life came when his mother was killed during a diplomatic mission that was disrupted by the Empire. He blamed their aggressive expansionism and disregard for diplomacy for his mother's death. This personal loss became a driving force behind his actions in joining the rebellion.

Education

He studied engineering and droid repair under his father's guidance, while also honing his musical skills. He often assisted his father with technical projects and performed at cultural events, gaining recognition for his talents.

Employment

After his mother's death, Thal decided to leave Csilla. He took on various jobs as a droid technician and starship repair specialist, traveling from one system to another. His skills were in high demand, and he quickly built a reputation for his expertise.

During his travels, Thal encountered many individuals who had suffered under Imperial rule, further solidifying his negative view of the Empire.

Accomplishments & Achievements

• Repaired a heavily damaged starship (Corellian XS-800 light freighter "Hope's LIght" on Ryloth) for a group of rebels escaping an Imperial ambush earning Jara Lin's (Rebel pilot) gratitude and respect.
  


• 1st Sakoola Blossom Festival on Inusagian. While performing at a small local cantina, Thal was invited by some other musicians (Niva and Miru) to participate in the cultural festival.
  

Failures & Embarrassments

• ''Dagger Tex" repair job: components and resources were not readily available (damaged ID9 Imperial Droid his over-confidence led to critical failure.
  

Mental Trauma

• Mother's death: With few details given, and reported as simply an "unfortunate incident" , this event ignited a deep-seated resentment towards the Empire.
  


• 2nd Sakoola Blossom Festival: Witnessed the mass murder (including the loss of friends Niva and Miru) by Saw Gererra. As horrific as anything done by the Empire, Thal realized the rebellion forces are not always aligned.
