Carp Alderleaf was a young halfling boy that lived in Phandalin with his mother Qelline Alderleaf. He was friends with Pip Stonehill and shared secrets with him. Circa 1491 DR, Carp discovered a secret tunnel in the woods in eastern Phandalin. He saw Redbrands come out of it leading him to believe the bandits had a base under the Tresendar Manor. Carp managed to sneak off without being caught.
